Safety Managment at Site

The contractor MUST employ Qualified Safety Officers, having about relevant 5 years of relevant experience in construction and erection of Petrochemical/process Plants, as per The Building and other construction workers (Regulation of Employment and conditions of service) Act 1996 and Central Rules 1998 / The Factories Rules 1969.
Contractor shall ensure that all his workforce are aware about the nature of risk involved in their work and have adequate training for carrying out their work safely. Such Safety Officers appointed shall be dedicated and responsible only for safety. They should not be given any other responsibility.
The contractor and his sub-contractor, if any, shall comply with the instructions given by the Safety Officer of CLIENT/OWNER or his authorized nominee regarding safety precautions, protective measures, house-keeping requirements etc. The Safety Officer of CLIENT/OWNER with due intimation to Site-in charge from CLIENT/OWNER shall have the right to stop the work of the contractor, if in his opinion, proceeding with the work can lead to an unsafe act and unsafe condition. Site-in charge shall remove the unsafe condition or provide protective equipment, whichever is applicable.
